Profile
Irving Azoff (born December 12, 1947, Danville, Illinois, USA) is an American entertainment executive and personal manager, representing many recording artists.
He moved to Los Angeles in 1970 with his first client, Dan Fogelberg. He worked for The Geffen, Roberts Co. and there began working with the Eagles, a relationship that has lasted more than forty years. In 1974, Azoff teamed with Howard Kaufman to form Front Line Management. The company dissolved in the early 1980's, around the time the Eagles began their long hiatus, but was resurrected by the pair in early 2005. The revamped Front Line experienced rapid growth and in 2008 was acquired by Ticketmaster, which named Irving Azoff CEO. Since September 2013, he has been chairman and CEO of Azoff MSG Entertainment, under which Global Music Rights, the first new performance rights organization in the United States since BMI's foundation in 1939, was established.
