I’ve started, so I’ll finish.. Extreme highs and lows and points in-between, so that different equipment/studios can set their equipment to capture the ‘true’ sound from these master tapes.

I have a bit of experience with pulling audio from old tapes…. Anyone who gets this can easily bake the tape and transfer it to digital.

Forgive my ignorance - what is TONES on the last, very pricey item?
It’s where Tones on Tail got their name:

“While still a member of Bauhaus, Ash formed Tones on Tail early in 1982, originally as a duo with Glenn Campling, an art school friend and flatmate who had also been a roadie for Bauhaus. The band's name was a reference to the way calibration tones were recorded on the "tail" of reel-to-reel tape.”

Everyone knows what a big fan I
am of John Porter. Would really
love to own part of this collection.
Unfortunately I just spent all my
loose savin's purchasin' this set of
miniature silverware that belonged
to famous Norwegian painter and
court dwarf, Anders Been.

With this and the Omega auction the following month, that's a good start to the year.
Have my eye on a few things, Suffer.. instrumental being one:

Better go sell my kidney PDQ.
FWD.

The debut album test pressing has a mailer addressed to "Mozza" (sp?).
Earliest Moz reference?

It looks like the 'Sheila' mastertape could potentially contain some unreleased material, or has this all leaked before?

Looks to be just slight different mixes of Sheila. The rest are master mixes.

According to Street, there was ‘nothing left in the can’ which is why he said he thought Morrissey might be interested in using some of his songs for b-sides. Then Morrissey said he wanted to make a solo record with him instead.

So, except for different mixes & the botched Elvis cover, I think we could safely assume we’ve basically heard it all.

Unless Joyce or someone close to the band
leaks songs rehearsed that never made it to the studio.

Imagine having to try and explain that cover to your parents in the 80's as a straight male.

Isn’t this the unreleased studio version of Sweet and Tender? It’s supposed to be a bit slower

I wonder how long after that photo/recording of that bloke’s arse was taken that he took a giant shite.
