Also looking like it can be imported via Amazon.com for those Stateside later in December.

J. Marr, in his effort to exercise sole ownership of The Smiths name, has without Morrissey's input or approval mandated the shoddy reissue of The Smiths albums on soft pack CD formats. Morrissey will not receive royalties from these releases and encourages his audience not to buy them.

Quite rightly too.

Marr waffling on about the Smiths legacy and he’s single-handedly butchering it. The mere pittance this will make and he could have had his bread buttered with rocking horse shit from a one song gig with Mozzeriguts.

Marr on mandolin, nibbling on a piece of Lancashire wheat while M thrashes out Golden Lights in full guttural quality leveraging on lavatorial. A million each right there.

Nice.

I'm guessing these will feature the Marr & Arkwright 2011 masters? Or are these a new remaster?

It's a shame they keep cropping the images for Hatful of Hollow and The World Won't Listen.
I remember Morrissey complaining about the "puffy cheek boy" on the cropped covers of The World Won't Listen.
Even Meat is Murder was supposed to be four images in the style of Andy Warhol's prints.
With cassettes there was a different aspect ratio, so there needed to be some cropping, but I don't know why they do this with CDs.

This was obviously approved by both Morrissey and Marr.

Anyone interested in these, should track down the Japanese mini LP cd’s instead. Properly cropped covers and the attention to detail is insane. Rank has the mini poster…

I believe they came out when I happened to be in Tokyo in 2009. I was able to buy them all at once (including the Jobriath titles) at a Tower. There went all my money

Given the vinyl restocks throughout the year via Warners, I'd guess this was more of the same.
The rep I deal with implied they can reissue/stock existing products without permission and in perpetuity. If they were remastered and had new art etc, then we'd be in the realms of Morrissey and Marr needing to agree.

Good to see that The Sound of The Smiths (with smiling Morrissey cover) will also be reissued. Somehow I missed it first time round, and have never seen it to buy it. I know it's on Ebay but I prefer real shopping to online!
