182 Sucks, I still havn't heard anything bright or intelligent come out of any of their mouths or music. They seem to try to repeat in a clumsy way what others who are much brighter and much more creative then they ever will be.

Well, I like the band Blink 182 even though
they can appear as complete jerks, their music
does capture a certain spirit of angst and
despair with humor just as our beloved Moz does.
I think even them just mentioning Morrissey does
show they know who the real deal is; in an absurd
way, they give props to the King Of Mope.

Blink 182 is a joke. They are bunch of losers who hit it big with the teenyboppers of the world. The same ones who buy Britney Spears and Backstreet boys. By the way, any group that runs around naked with each other in their videos and has an obsession with enemas (Enema of the State, their album title) really should be keeping their asses shut.

Ugh... Just seeing Blink-182 in the same sentance as Morrissey gives me the same feeling as if one were to stab me in the face repeatedly with a rusty dagger. I dread living in a world where there are " punks " out there who listen to blink,but haven never even heard of The Damned or The Angelic Upstarts.

Come on people. I love Moz as much as the rest of you but give me a break. I thought the comments were rather amusing, although OBVIOUSLY a tad ignorant and tasteless... Is Erasure not a "gay" band? How many gay Morrissey/Smiths fans do YOU know? None? Not TOO many?! Hmmmm... I thought so. Lighten up! Defend your own sexual orientation (unless you refuse to have one determined, just like ol' Mozzer pretends to do...) Do you think Moz would take offense to this? regarding dr.face's comment. I don't believe Morrissey sad anything bad against Blink 182 but at the Coachella Festival where Morrissey performed...there were a lot of acts, including AT THE DRIVE IN, or could of been super furry animals, that stated that its good to be part of a music festival that doesn't involve stupid ass, no talent flash in the pan acts like Blink 182, korn or limp biskit. Which got a cheer from the crowd.And please the only joke here is that blink 182 thinking they're punk...with the emergence of MTV went good taste. and punks don't go to Blink shows...not the hard core punks that is. And the irony here is that i actually saw some Oi' punks at the Morrissey show in Hollywood who would probably die if one of their mates went to a blink 182 show, which consist of lame asses. -moz cowboy

but art is a lie that tells the truth, so says Picasso.Anyway, someone noted down at Morrissey tour 2000 site that during one of his shows Moz said something to the affect of, "You look bored...will the sound man put on a Blink 182 tape, I'm sure you'll enjoy that." Real punks don't go to Blink shows. Than again, the first five rows of every Moz concert are filled with bald shirtless men trying to get on stage to kiss him. I think that says more about skinheads than punk rockers but what can you do?

Did anyone else hear or see an interview where the interviewer said to Morrissey, "In a way, you opened the door for bands like Matchbox 20."? He then responded, "Then let it be closed." I think it's funny when Moz mentions any band like them, or Blink 182.Who said music had to have any point anyway? If people really want Blink 182, let them have it. As for me and my house, we will listen to Morrissey. I think that last sentence is from scripture or something.

well just look at it this way...blink is another pop-punk band with little talent who'll adhere to preteens for another year maybe, while Moz is going to be around for a while. hell, he still has fans, ever since the smiths of the early 80's. blink, well, they'll get old. trust me. you can classify Moz/Smiths and blink into the two separate categories of music: music that will live forever + music that will live until their label decides their fans are getting sick of them. guess who goes where! to further prove my point, remember the "invincible" vanilla ice, mc hammer, michael jackson, paula abdul, etc? just early pop-spawns. now look at the cure, cheap trick, oingo boingo, etc. good music that will live forever. thanks for reading, i'm off to listen to some 2 Legit 2 Quit :)
