For some reason or another, when visiting this club where the event was planned last Friday, the manager took me aside and informed me he didn't want a band to play, and we wanted to keep the night the way it was without doing a Morrissey party... (It's an 80's night every Sat) I told him he was going to lose a lot of business and it was a really bad move but he insisted. Tough shit for him, really.

He said he still wants to do another May 22nd. I smirked and walked away. Sorry guys !! I'm currently looking for other venues, I'll keep you well informed. If all else fails... my house again? :):):)

I don't reccomend going to a place where we aren't wanted. The owner had a chance to get a very large crowd of people who would have spent plenty of money on drinks as well as cover charge. There are so many places to go in Boston that if the plan is to just have everyone meet somewhere, I say anywhere but there. Heck, the show is on Lansdowne street, there are 10 places right there. I wonder if Avalon would be interested in hosting something. If so, its possible the band would stick around and have some drinks and chat with fans like they did in Dublin.

hey kiddos,

how's about campus (liquid) on saturday night? they play 80's stuff in the backroom. depeche mode and the pet shop boys have been known to have visited campus in years past, maybe we can entice steven to attend. i think it would be a fitting location for an after-concert party, even if it is unofficial. we can all just gather and reminisce. ta.

The Morrissey after Party IS STILL ON. I should know, being the guy who's DJing it. Our manager did decide against having the band (for whatever reason) but we are still having the party 9PM to 2AM on Saturday 19 February. There will be a Moz gift-pack given away as well.
