"Heaven Knows I'm Not Miserable Now" by Michael Bracewell - The Times (Nov. 6, 1999)
Is there anyone with the article willing to scan the photos? Thanks to Elbowless for the following: I've put the full text of the Times article on the web at: "Heaven Knows I'm Not Miserable Now" by Michael Bracewell, The Times (Nov. 6, 1999) No pictures, unfortunately. I got the text from an online subscription news service, and the pictures weren't included. Can someone post them? (* Nov. 10 - Photos and transcription
are now available here)

Tour updates
Both Hollywood Palladium
shows (Dec. 15, 16) on sale Saturday, Nov. 13 at noon. (I
guess this was the big Tuesday announcement at Goldenvoice).
Ventura tickets (Dec. 18) are also available at
the Ticketmaster
site now.
Another Coachella mention in Rolling Stone (U.S.) - from
Michelle:
Though inaccurate,
there is a mention of Morrissey's performance at Coachella
in the November 25, 1999 issue of Rolling Stone.
"...The
sky was fading to black and so was the crowd. Morrissey was
on theri minds, and no one --- save the kids flipping out to
the Breakbeat Era with Roni Size --- was about to miss his
first U.S. outing in years. Dressed in a sharp blue suit,
Morrissey flung his mike and grabbed a guitar for an
uncharacteristically rocking set that included moody Smiths
hits like 'Meat is Murder,' which for many was itself worth
the fifty-dollar admission. 'Are you having a good time?' he
asked, to wild applause. 'Too bad.'"
There is a small photo of Morrissey that accompanies the
page-long article about the festival.
The tour hits the UK (Nottingham) today.

From Johnny:
...Elliot

does.

Morrissey in a movie?
From andy:
This is
from the K
record label when talking about Rose Melberg of
"Softies" fame:
"...Rose is also living in the country of Canada and
working on some solo stuff (I assume) and has been asked to
appear in a movie with Morrissey. Don't ask me for details
as that is all I know right now. Miko is another band as
well, but I don't know too much about that yet. If anyone is
curious, I will find out."
