From Andy (Berlin):

And how was it?

>From the BBC website:

"Andy Rourke, Fab, The Limelight, Thu 21 October

The Smiths bassist turns his hand to the decks at one of Belfast's most original and cool wee clubs to hang out in. No-one quite knows what to expect, but if I were a gambler, I'd put money on there being a few Smiths classics in there"

He's trying to be like Norman Cook (A/K/A Fat Boy Slim). He needs a gimmick like Norm. Maybe he could pretend he's Mr. Rourke from Fantasy Island and DJ wearing a white suit. He needs to find a midget to be Tattoo. The lil' guy could carry all his records around for him.

ironically, they were both bassists for groups that had similar styles...dunno...i don't like fat-boy slim's stuff so much..if rourke's stuff is similar, then i doubt i'd like that either.

I like Mike and Andy. Good musicians and top blokes, both of them.

hmmmm.....
it would seem rabid morrissey fans "tote the
line" on all issues morrissey. i can think
for myself. question is: do you? why slam
andy or mike? brand me heretic, but i part
company w/ morrissey on a number of issues.
i have a seperate identity apart from his.
being that very few of us are close friends
with morrissey, it's a question of your
mental health as to why you pledge undying
allegance to one man's concerns (issues that
really don't concern you).
i am a fan. that's all. morrissey can
handle his situation. i'll take care of
my own.

See the facts, Andy was a part of the most important and best band ever... It must be hard, when a career ends this way - I wish him luck, whatever he will do!
