Nice little cdnow article. "Beck, Morrissey Are Day One's Main Attraction At Coachella". Nice to know we are appreciated.

...More than three dozen alternative and electronic acts took part in Coachella, but judging by every other conversation and T-shirt, Morrissey was Day One's main attraction. The rumored reunion with former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr didn't pan out. Yet his rabid contingent still found plenty to savor in an impressive and unusual set that ranged from album tracks to Smiths nuggets.

Among the highlights were a fierce "Meat is Murder," led by Boz Boorer's echo-laden guitarwork; Morrissey's added vocal flourishes on "Hairdresser on Fire"; his highly dramatic gestures during "November Spawned a Monster" and a charged-up, rollicking "Is It Really So Strange?"

Unfortunately, the annoying ritual where fans clamor onstage to touch or hug Morrissey continued. Five of them (mostly male) succeeded and one idiot almost strangled the singer before getting hauled away by security. Morrissey capped things off with an enthralling "Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me."

Is it my imagination, or has Morrissey gotten a little heavier over the last 5 years? I haven't been able to get to a show since 92, so if he still takes his shirt off like he did then, does he now have a beer gut? Maybe he's been spending a little too much time at Captain Burt's Bar in LA.

moz did take of his shirt in Deinze (10/12) and I must say he doesn't have a beer-gut but is in great kick-ass shape!you shouldn't conclude he's fat because he's got a shorter hair-cut or whatever...

Yeah, maybe it is just his haircut that makes his face look heavier. Thanks sunny for your input on what I was wondering about. I wish I could have been at the show too.

Obviously, you two idiots have not yet been at any of morrissey shows! (a ha!)

He looks as good as ever! Not that it matters, though…..

Is it me... or Moz's fans seem to be getting younger and younger. Testimony to his timeless lyrics that appeal to the youth of the masses. Great to see the pictures.

To Moz Cowboy:

You are right about the fans getting younger and younger. I saw some kindergarten and 1st grade kids on a field trip at the last show I went to. Morrissey stopped the show half way through for a milk and cookie break, followed by a 15 minute nap time. It was really bizarre, but you have to give the fans what they want right?

Wrong. Cocaine makes you thin, pot makes you fat. As to Moz fan's getting younger, maybe so, but I sure as hell avoid rushing the stage. As the youngens have fun, I'll be the one at the bar toasting Morrissey on...

He arrived like Elvis and departed the same way..... but i got to meet him!! I love him but it wasn't very "magical"- oh well, got a nice autograph out of it. As for him getting heavier, i was just scared we were going to see his butt crack (plummer butt) as his pants are far down (maybe this is what makes his stomach look bigger)- anyway, i don't care, he's still the best!

He has given us a gifts that few people give and that's: his thoughts, life experiences,a gilmse into an aweinspiring man's mind,& the reality that no matter what we do and feel, however abnormal the gen. public might think it is...there are people who feel and act like you do.We all derserve to be loved just like the "normal" people do. And instead of your humble thank you's for these gifts, you talk 'bout his weight and age.How sad!!By your comments you show that you do not understand what Moz stands for. Your not his Fan's. So don't call yourselves one anymore. You don't deserve the title!!!
