I don't really like the name. I hope he changes it. I'll bet Marr hates it too. Oh well I'll still probably see Moz at 2 different shows. Warren is outttt!!!!!!!!!!

seriously lame. a fine title for the dvd release, but for the tour i think that "isle of dogs" has a much more favorable connotation.

Maybe Morrissey is trying out the latest latin rock "cross-over" technique like Ricky Martin and Enrique Iglesias. "Oye Esteban"--"Hey Steven" does sound kinda lame.John Juan

I'm sorry, but this is some of THE most BORING conversation I have ever seen on this site! C'mon people! Let's step it up! There are some extremely intelligent people that frequent this site.....NOT YOU WARREN.....so lets quit the dribble and get on with some serious topics!

This might be common knowledge and I've missed it as I am not the Moz fan I once was (though I still hear his voice in my head and think of him kindly .... sorry :-)Does Morrissey have new material to tour with? What is he promoting with this tour?

I like the "Oye Esteban" name. I like the title because its pretty uncontroversial. I am glad that this tour title does not give any AMMUNITION to the filthy press which berates Moz on a frequent basis. I mean, how many more Union Jack incidents does he need? I like "Oye Esteban" and I am sure that when Morrissey is performing, you will like "Oye Esteban" too!

This title is much better than the rather juvenille "Isle of the Dogs"--sounds like some played out ACDC come back tour.Always the wiser, I'm glad Moz changed the title. I mean he know's so little about Isle of the Dogs or other working class parts of London. The man makes millions. Comon, are we supposed to beleive that he really is on skidrow---breathes new life into Reader Meet Author. "Anything to write more lines," he?

I liked the "isle of Dogs tour" title better, but who cares what it's called.Hey I saw that Nissan comercial during Will and Grace. 3 times the whole night. They play the intro of How soon is now longer than what it is on the album. The comercial ends right before the singing starts. I thought it sucked that Morrissey's voice wasn't heard on national t.v. I'ts really strange to know that alot of people are going to hear a few seconds of a Smiths song and not even know who they are.

Jeffery Monroe, Jr., PhD? Who the hell needs to know? Who are you trying to impress? Sounds like you are trying to make up for something that you are lacking between your legs. You think we are wasting our time on a stupid topic? What a psuedo-intellectual you are. We're on an internet bulletin board devoted to an ENTERTAINER. Maybe you should check out another website if this is too dumb for you. Here are a few ideas: www.worldpeace.org www.cureforcancer.com www.einsteinspecialtheoryofrelativity.netThe message boards on these sites should be more to your liking. And after 16-plus years, you ALL should know that full well. Viva Esteban! As an aside, give poor Warren a break. Pray for the lad. God bless the lot of you. Faithful and true,

Frank Rizzo and Friends,I didn't mean to offend anyone. All I was trying to do was light a fire underneath some of you so that the conversation would be much more compelling. Look back at some of the notes from the beginning of this session and you have to admit WE weren't on our "A" game. And as far as other websites are concerned...I have no interest in any other message boards. I too am an ER doctor that fools around on the internet in the middle of the day and sometimes I also will post onto internet message boards once, then again in two hours - just before performing surgery. Oh, and as a medical doctor, I too go by "PhD" as opposed to "MD". So as you can plainly see, Jeffery Monroe is obviously true.

Warren---you are the biggest (or smallest) swine to frequent this board. First, read carefully, because you have a tendency not to.Marr will not be joining Morrissey on this tour. The person on the radio made a comment that was not true. If you know anything about radio, the goal of these people is to promote shows--show why not throw out that since Marr is working with Beck, he may be there? We have learned since that Marr is not even on slate to perform that night. YOUR JUVENILE MIND IS OBVIOUS. You seem to be more worried about seeing Marr. Wait for the Electronic tour and give your Morrissey ticket to someone else. Marr will not perform with Morrissey--and you must be even more idiotic to think that he will ever get back with the likes of Joyce and Rourke. Morrissey is on his own now. Accept it and enjoy. YOU SURE ARE OUT!!!! OUT OF YOUR @$@$@$@$@ MIND!!!!!

I didn't think someone this self-confident, yet incredibly wrong and...just retarded existed. To the moron who said they were glad that Morrissey "is done with his whole English thing.": Moz IS English, and that's never going to cahange. Instead of having lame fanticies about dates with a man who wants nothing to do with you, you should embrace Brittish culture. Understand that it is a major part of what makes Morrissey's music so interesting and rockin.

Oh, leave Warren alone. By some of his more serious posts, you can tell that he is a Moz fan. He can be quite dense, but so what. He is a high school kid having fun (and as often as he posts, this could be his only fun). I think his dopey comments are quite humorous. Don't take everything so seriously. Life is too short.Besides, it could be worse. He could be telling us how Moz should tour with the Backstreet Boys.

If British culture is what makes Mozzer's music so great and rockin' then why is he the only great British artist? Why is his ethnicity Irish? Why has he immigrated to Lost Angelus? Why does he embrace Mexican culture? The British referrences in Mo's music have been very interesting and I learned a lot, but that's not why he's great. Thanks for listening.

I agree with most that the name is irrelevant, but i do like it. I have a theory though. A couple of years back, you'll remember, Moz got on this whole tough guy boxing thing. you remember the fake cuts and all. I know a plumber named Esteban. Maybe, Moz likes plumbers now. The tour could have a bathroom theme. The stage could look like the cross section of a toilet (with the tank in the back). Moz could dance around with a big plunger or a drain snake. And he could wear a plumbers jumpsuit (or have his butt crack showing with some low hanging jeans) Also, the ticket price could be charged to our credit cards at $45/hour (plus parts). That would be sweet.

Morrissey is flirting with Spanish, however, he would enter a state of psychological terror if forced to deny his British identity. Morrissey is eternally English, despite his Irish roots. He proudly displays it, and we gratefully accept it.

Why is it that after all these years, all of the struggles Human society has been through, there is still an abundance of hate and intolerance? Immigration is the legacy of America...you would't be here unless one of your ancestors immigrated here. "America for the English"?!?!?! That's the most ignorant viewpoint I've seen in ages...In case you don't remember, Spain was the dominant power for a long time...until people got fed up with the English oppression of the time and IMMIGRATED here! And what about the Native Americans who were here before all of us? Even they had to immigrate here. Maybe you guys should listen to "Blowin' in the Wind" a few times. You gotta lot of nerve!!!!!!!

Corey I swear I didn't use your name! If I have something to say I'll just say it!! Some guy is just out there trying to start trouble. "Ceiling Shadow shimmy by and the wardrobe towers like a beast of prey, I'll still be by your side."

I'm not overly keen on the name. I prefer Isle of Dogs. "England for the English" would have been a nicer title or "We are the last British people" tour. Or what about "LA Always Awaits Me....." That would be a good title for a song.......

Scott and Steve: I agree!I also am glad that there are those who agree with my point about Moz's cultural ties to ENGLAND. Isle of the Dogs does work well. I would like to mention that Morrissey has not always been rich, contrary to the comment made earlier about him never seeing skid row. Before he had a band he lived fairly poor in Manchester(Hancock). Cheers

I can't believe that there are over 90 messages on here, and most of them have nothing to do with Moz. ... I'm going down to the fountain for a few drinks. -RATF

I agree. Check out the new board for Aug. 20th called Site Stuff. David addresses this problem.

Does anyone think we'll hit 100 messages? I bet Morrissey would love that. What do you guys think?

Dale, I do think that we will hit 100. What do you think? Oh, keeping on topic, I don't mind the name "Oye Esteban" for the tour.

does this mean i can stop pacing my living room floor in the dark mumbling "he didn't mean it like that." for a while? ...then again if he meant it like that he means it like that and changing the name doesn't mean or change anything.

aw i don't know but i really like "oye esteban" as a title.... i remember the first time i heard "ouija board" and laughed so hard at the "s t e v e n p u s h o f f" bit i just about fell of my chair. this shows a similar cynical streak, don't you think?ciao julie

I am almost ashamed to post anything to this decrepit page, but I must comment on two of the topics covered.1. As a few voices of reason have stated, who cares what the name of the tour is? Are you interested in Morrissey and his music or the name of his tour? What's wrong w/ the title "Hey Steven" anyway....it is his name, afterall. 2. I was taken aback by Johnny O's comment about Morrissey going to Erno Lazslo's for skin care; their products are tested on animals and unless Morrissey has suddenly decided to support animal vivisection,(which I somehow doubt--see the "Interesting Drug" video)I would assume his presence at the Erno counter is rather a miserable lie. I apologize to the intelligent reader's for not restraining my desire to comment on the unrelated issue of Morrissey's skin care, but I simply couldn't let Morrissey go undefended.

What´s so appealing about Moz and Marr playing together again? After all, Moz´s lyrics have become better ever since the Smiths split up. ´Did ya´ll here the latest Electronic album? T´was crap! I want no Marr!By the way I heard Moz were going to form a band together with Brian and A.J from Backstreet Boys called "Backside Moz". They´re going on a tour next year called "The Kiss my English arse Tour"

Johnny O #60 says that synthesisers should be burnt etc. ... presumably unaware that Morrissey uses synthesisers on many records - for instance in 'The Last of the Famous ...' and many times for strings. Don't be such a luddite.

Amy Beth,(whoever you are) i share your opinion on the moz-solo postings. over time it has turned into a bunch of carnies posting their everyday occurences. i pity the fool who disrespects the moz-solo posting board. please "stop the insanity" and post only for moz related discussion.......thank you
