From Iwein:

There was an interview with Marr in a Belgian paper, he said that he was the sensitive one who didn't like the rock 'n roll circus and not Morrissey (who pushed everyone to do things). He also said that he left The Smiths because it made him drunk all the time.

Our Johnny, the great Revisionist. Well, it wasn't Morrissey who was getting wasted every night on tour, and doping it up with the crew, now, was it?

And his LATEST reason for leaving the Smiths was to curb his uncontrollable urge to get drunk? Really, Johnny! Give it a rest, won't ya?

Sorry, Johnny, but nobody is EVER going to forgive you for breaking up the Smiths. EVER. EVER. Who cares how good your reasons were? Morrissey could have been threatening your life or something and still nobody would forgive you. NOBODY IS GOING TO FORGIVE YOU. Except me.

Of course it was Morrissey who was the rock 'n roll, party and drugs guy who indulged in orgies after each gig. That is pretty obvious isn´t it? Good one!

hey guys! this makes no sense.

if johnnny says he was drunk all the time when he was in the smiths how he remembers now he was the "sensitive" one?

this seems a puzzle to me - he is joking for sure.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm glad that The Smiths split when they did. Someone once told me that The Smiths are not 'Sacred', but I'm not too sure. Excuse the 'indie cred' lark, but they were about to sign for a major, and part of the charm for me is that they flowered on what was a tiny lable, against the odds. Morrissey may have a better vox now, and Johnny may be better on the old six string. But everything The Smiths touched turned to gold, and there will be no-one (Although I thought Vauxhall & I is about as good as The Smiths could ever have been) no-one, that will ever touch The Smiths...ever...and the constant back biting (I'M the sensitive one actually) seems to ruin the flavour somehow.

Hey, Morrissey admitted he had "spasms of wine", didn't he? But that's a far cry from getting doped up and drunk every night, now isn't it. I think Johnny is just trying to claw at the last bits of the limelight...
