The signing lacks the emotion that morrissey
emits while singing this song but, the it is NOT bad AT all.

This is all very nice, although I wish Marr and Morrissey could cover a Smiths song *together* for once.

I think It's wonderful. Marr is probably one of ,
if not the best, guitarist ever to walk the face
of this God forsaken earth.

Lol..that was weird I've missed all of Electronic's recent TV appearances, I assumed Chrissie Hynde would sing, his voice is alright, a bit reedy and closer to Bernard Sumner than Moz, I wonder if he's still a veggie cos it was Moz that made him after all, or Moz himself for that matter - he smokes now doesn't he? I know that Madonna is no longer a veggie(sorry if my screen name offends anyone, don't worry I like Moz most!). I thought it was a bit weird Marr playing a Beatles-related gig, cos The Beatles are always refererred to as the "best band ever" and I think The Smiths are much better than them or anyone else, I loved Linda McCartney's veggie cornish pasties though, lol. Anyway here are some more links in case you haven't been(sorry I can't hyperlink this, I'm useless!) -

This site has practically every MP3 there is, right down to Smiths instrumental soundchecks, unfortunately it takes forever to load, I started off d/loading Smiths cover versions by other artists but soon got fed up and went to the ones I most wanted to hear, life's too short! The live versions of Meat... and Some Girls.. are miles better than the LP versions, contrary to what some infidels say about The Smiths not being a good live band.

In the sounds section of this site you can spend half an hour in the company of two of the world's greatest songwriters - Moz interviewing Joni Mitchell! This is much quicker to load than MP3s cos it's real audio.
Right, sorry for waffling on so long!

Johnny was actually a better singer than I thought he would be. If anyone's figured out tabs for the song, please send me a mail...

UH, I`m so thrilled that the mp3 made it here so fast. God bless the Internet. I`m even more thrilled to hear Johnny play a Smiths song and even more one that relates so much to Morrissey. And: I like his singing a lot! As the Q Magazine put it so very correctly: "God`s very own guitarist Johnny Marr"!

I was expecting him to not be able to carry a tune since he shunned any harmonizing, but I was impressed. His voice would fit really well in one of those New Order-ish songs....although it would sound like one of the many bands that cover New Order.
