Smiths mentioned in another Ellis novel

I'm guessing this is fiction. From Angela:

Bret Easton Ellis' latest (and rather mediocre) novel is Glamourama. On page 267 there's a Smiths reference:

Bobby's face was there endlessly dead-eyed and poised. He was the boytoy in two Madonna videos, the "sad lost guy" in a Belinda Carlisle clip and shirtless in countless others because he had a set of breathtaking abdominals before anyone was really paying attention to the torso, and he was probably the major force in starting that craze. During his career he walked thousands of runways, garnering the nickname. "the Showstopper." He was on the cover of the Smiths' last album, UNFORTUNATELY.

What the heck is that suppose to mean? Anything to get a rise out of us fans guess.

"Rather mediocre"?? I've been absorbed in GLAMORAMA for a week now. It's a completely entertaining and fascinating read! I don't know if I'd say it's a completely succesful novel, but it's more interesting than just about anything released in the past 12 months by some of the more
elitist-approved writers. Ellis buries 'em all.

Brett Easton Ellis is about as entertaining as watching girders rust.

So you weren't impressed by American Psycho? I think it's one of the greatest novels ever written!

I think UNFORTUNATELY is a logical choice for a fictional Smiths or Morrissey album. BEE is awesome.
