THIS IS ONLY A RUMOR, so don't bash me for it.
A friend of mine that has been associated with the Coachella event (via a number of the larger bands that perform there) has informed me that the rumor in the Coachella circle is that The Smiths have once again been asked to perform, this time being offered $8 million. Goldenvoice has apparently postponed releasing the lineup for a week while they attempt to lock down headliners, and apparently The Smiths are the desired ones. Personally, I do not believe this will EVER happen...
