He says he's in the best rock band in the world, but he leaves a door open to The Smiths getting back together...

No Johnny Depp as Babybird plays London comeback gig - NME.com
Singer also slates Morrissey at intimate show

Excerpt:

Jones also took a swipe at Morrissey before the track 'The Way You Are'.

"I want to dedicate this next song to Morrissey who has a glass tattoed on the side of his head," he joked before drummer Robert Gregory threw a plastic pint at his head and the singer added: "That's it, I'm leaving the stage, I've got a broken fingernail."

Jones' dig came after Morrissey walked offstage last weekend after a member of the audience threw a pint at his head after two songs.

Morrissey mentioned briefly in Children In Need Concert

Morrissey mentioned briefly in article about Children In Need Concert, in a quote from, who else, Robbie Williams:

...

'Talking about a possible reunion, he added: "The ball is definitely rolling. We don't know how to do it yet, nothing is planned but I'll be keeping the Brits to myself. We'll save it for something special."

I poked fun at his barnet, asking if it was more JEDWARD or MORRISSEY. He laughed: "It is supposed to be Morrissey, but it's a bit Jedward, isn't it?"'

Derek Ridgers, Skinhead girls print

I just received an email from Dany Ridgers informing me he has listed a number of his fathers’ prints on eBay. The “skinhead girls” print that Morrissey used as a backdrop is included in his lot. I don’t intend on bidding so I thought I would pass the information on to Solo. The bid starts at 9.99 (pounds). A great deal!

Shown here is a large size, original, silver gelatine print of two skinhead girls. It was taken in Brighton, in 1980 by the (now) well known photographer Derek Ridgers.

It became famous after it was used extensively on Morrissey's 'Your Arsenal' tour.

I've just got back from The Airborne Toxic Event concert in Manchester at The Ritz. They covered 'Ask' and 'Panic' by The Smiths.
The frontman said "My musicial hero comes from Manchester, it's like a Mecca for me". He obviously meant Morrissey.

Bavarian Front Disko - Perrecy Fanclub writes:
"[...]Hi there,

at the 20th of November, the world's hub is Munich:
After the concert of the grand master at the "Tonhalle", the aftershowparty will take place at the Atomic Café abd we will be playing there, live and in colour!

Begin is 11 pm, time enough to get from A to B.

The best thing: Everybody, who hold a ticket to the concert at the "Tonhalle" will get a rebate on the entrance-fee.

The idea to this came from Achim "Sechzig" Bagdahn, the Atomic Café and perrecy. And it's a good one, as I find.

Glad to see you there,
cheers,
perrecy [...]"
