They spoke to Mozza's management yesterday, who said it was still on. God bless antibiotics.

(Funnily enough, Moz isn't listed on the Pier's website but comedy giants the Chuckle Brothers are. Along with TV medium Derek Acorah. Maybe Degsy can feel some residual energy and tell us all if Moz will defo turn up!!!!)

Just spoke to my industry insider and the show on Friday is to go ahead (Confirmed by SJM)- the local crew have been booked / confirmed and the touring crew are already in Yarmouth ready for the "get in" Friday morning. The worst case scenario now is that he tries - and he fails....

Lloyd Cole finished his soundcheck and was walking through the Cathedral Quarter. Who should he bump into on the street but Morrissey, in town for a couple of concerts and staying in The Merchant. According to eyewitness accounts they literally hailed one another in the street - not having met in two decades - and had a casual natter, Belfast style.

I am a huge moz/smiths fan [have a smiths tattoo] and am doing a portrait series on people who have been inspired by the smiths/moz in their life and now are influenced by Morrissey in their everyday wardrobe. I am a professional photographer and am freelance so just work for magazines and travel around a lot.

I've done a few portraits here on the east coast and plan on heading to LA soon to finish up the project. Right now a few magazines are interested in running the story and there is a group show in LA that will possibly have the photos in a gallery out there. So with that said, Im contacting you if you by any chance know any people across the US that would possibly fit the bill or be good to contact for the project? Im not looking for people that necessarily look like him, just more so inspired to dress like him, get their hair cut like him, etc etc. Im heading to LA for a shoot in 2 weeks so in theory it would be great to make some portraits once I am out there.

And, in the grand tradition of Pittsburgh tribute/cabaret shows, we'll be playing Morrissey/Smiths covers at Brillobox (4104 Penn Ave), but wait, that's not all! Vipers Soul Club DJ Gordy will be stopping by to spin Morrissey influences (60s girl group, 70s glam, etc.). After the bands wrap, the night will transform into a dance party.
