The Observer Review on Sunday had an article on Morrissey:

Morrissey - so much to answer for
It was May 1982 when a young Johnny Marr encountered the charismatic Mancunian oddball who became known to millions only by his surname. Their amazing songwriting partnership inspired a thousand indie bands and, 25 years on, they remain a potent force

Hello! I was in the front shooting photos for Seattle Weekly and Pitchfork. Posted an audio slideshow on Seattle Weekly's website on Monday, 5/7, and photos should be up on Pitchfork sometime this week.

If you're interested in seeing some of my shots, you can also go to my Flickr slideshow here.

Tickets West snafus for Spokane venue
Someone posted about getting money back from the Spokane show. That's not going to happen. I talked to representatives at Tickets West and they just helped manage the switch from the proposed venue (INB)to the actual venue (Big Easy)
but they were given no instructions on accomodating or providing ticket reimbursements.

I paid for the orchestra level tickets, so my reward was ground floor/lower level terrace tickets by the bar as opposed to the balcony seats. That's it. I guess we have the option of complaining to Morrissey's people, but I take it his statement at the beginning of the show ("2700 people was overdoing it") was a concession that his people didn't get it right. At least we all got in.

Don't know who wrote the list, and I disagree with most of it, but always nice to see The Smiths recognized.

One of your more tenuous Morrissey stories I suspect, BUT Tate Britain have a new exhibition coming up entitled "How We Are: Photographing Britain" and the main picture being promoted is the Roger Maynes "Girl Jiving in Southam Street" which was of course used on the cover of the UK release of Interlude with the amazing Siouxsie Sioux

I bring news of a new Morrissey / Smiths night in Manchester

'MALADJUSTED' will be held every third Thursday in the month commencing 17th May. 9pm - 2am.

Venue: 'Overdraught' (situated above 5th Avenue, Princess Street, central Manchester)

£3 b4 11pm, £4 afterwards.

The aim of the night is not to compete with the Star & Garter or to rival it, but to compliment it as some people feel once a month is not enough for many of us fans. I am not organising the event, just passing the message on. So dont shoot the messenger!
