The NME ad opens a can of worms.

'jed Skullcap' ???! - posted by joe frady

Just bought this weeks NME. On page 47 there is a full page ad for the Christmas tour. The ad consists of the same image and details as the one featured in the news story on the main page, as sent in by Joe Dolan. Except that in the very bottom right hand corner of the advertisement, beneath the pink banner that says 'Tickets on sale 9am on Friday 13 October', and printed over the cream coloured shirt that Morrissey is holding behind his back, are two words ' JED SKULLCAP '.

Wtf ?

The new book Inside Little Britain about the lives and career of Matt Lucas and David Walliams, written with journalist Boyd Hilton, features myriad mentions of Morrissey and Marr. In particular, David Walliams pays frequent tribute to The Smiths and Moz as huge influences on his life, there's a funny Moz anecdote on pages 128-130, and Johnny Marr appears when Walliams has an evening out with him (and the Pet Shop Boys and Caroline Aherne) in Manchester (page 202, with pic of Marr and Walliams and Neil Tennant on page 205). The book's out now.
