Looks like the Danish Moz fans have done a good job: ROTT have entered the Danish album chart at # 3. This is very surprising to me, but good news indeed. YHKM did receive quite a bit of airplay on Danish radio, so maybe that explains the good position.

MediaControl - the one's that "provide" us with the weekly charts - itself and especially their website suck badly, so I don't have a link to an official site. Anyway it's already in the press that ROTT enters at number 9 so it's true I guess.

Don't know how YATC did in 2004 but I guess it performed way better. And considering the amazon-charts in which ROTT even made it up to the second position once I thought Germans had better taste in music. But the again: Andrea Berg on the top with her new album "Splitternackt" (=starkers, hasn't got a stick to we-ear) proves that I'm as wrong as one can possibly be.

Morrissey's last year's stint at Glastonbury is featured in Julien Temple's documentary Glastonbury (2006)... already out in the UK.

No release date for North America. No word on dvd release.

Covers - cover art: an exhibition on the history of LP record covers, is on display until 22 of April 2007 at the Museum Centre Vapriikki here in Tampere, Finland. Between 4th of April and 28th May 2006 there is a special part of the exhibition that displays album and single covers by The Smiths and Morrissey (for some reason so is Maladjusted not mentioned at all). Unfortunately for those who don't speak Finnish so is the Morrissey/Smiths part of the exhibition without English text, though the main exhibition has got it. The main exhibition entrance fee is 6€ (and is well worth a visit) and with that you can visit all the exhibitions in the museum. Though if you don't have the money the Morrissey/Smiths part can be seen for free in the entrance area. More details in Finnish.

The Scottish newspaper The Daily Record has made it's own chart of music's worst lyrics, to coincide with VH1's Best Lyrics poll.

Lyrics from Morrissey's song King Leer were included:

Your boyfriend he,
Went down on one knee.
Well could it be,
He's only got one knee?

Morrissey fans in Liverpool, England, have produced another flag to mark the release of the new album.

Emblazoned with the words "Ringleaders Of the Tormentors" (as we are plural), the ten foot by five foot banner is to be used at football matches involving the five times champions of Europe Liverpool FC. It will also make appearances at selected dates on Morrissey's UK tour.

The Morrissey fans in question, "The Bootle Bruisers" have been namechecked by Morrissey during concerts...and have a website dedicated to him (www.thereisalight.co.uk).

The fans first shot to fame when their “There Is A Light That Never Goes Out” flag at Morrissey’s two Royal Albert Hall concerts in London 2002.

www.thereisalight.co.uk contains photos of the bruisers at previous Morrissey tours and personal encounters with the great man himself!
