MOZ'S NEW BOYFRIENDS - Playlouder

The queen of mean turns up to see ace copycat indie band
20 Feb 2006

His royal Mozness turned up at the New Pop Revolution gig this weekend (18th) presumably to check out The Boyfriends, as well as Luxembourg, Swimmer One and The Sweethearts, though he missed the first band entirely, and slightly stole Swimmer One's thunder by appearing at the climax of their set.

Though we're sure they'll forgive him. Moz stayed for much of Luxembourg's set, though was forced to do a runner when the cloying friends of misery in the crowd got a bit much for him, trying to pull his shirt off and get him to lay his hands on their mammory glands. Thankfully Steven made it back for the Boyfriends from the safety of the fire escape. Eye witnesses say he almost cracked a smile at times. Perhaps he was seeing first hand what his own gig might look like if he lost his hair.

An eye witness said: "Morrissey left with a Luxembourg single and a broad smile. Well, OK, not a broad smile exactly, but he didn't look too pissed off for once."

'Adversity can be good for you' - This is London Excerpt:

He says he has always been drawn to things that are quite homophobic, like reggae and ragga music. "What is that Morrissey song? The more you ignore me, the closer I get ... that sums me up. I am antagonistic. If I hear a ragga song about burning and shooting gay people, I will stand up and say something."
