The concert is being organized by Andy Rourke and will include performances by New Order and Doves. Just to make it clear: THE SMITHS WILL NOT BE RE-FORMING AT THIS CONCERT. But there is a rumour that Andy Rourke may join the Healers for a song but we'll have to see what happens. Tickets go on sale Saturday 17th December.

"We'll have to see what happens", Johnny Marr says in a reaction to Side-Line. Marr has also recorded five tracks on the new Jane Birkin record to be released early next year on EMI records. The album furthermore features songs written by Rufus Wainwright, Beth Gibbons, Neil Hannon, Tom Waits and Kate Bush. Johnny recorded guitar and harmonica tracks in Ferber studios in Paris, where Serge Gainsbourg recorded a lot of his classic material. The album is produced by Gonzales. Finally, Johnny Marr will probably be playing on the new Lisa Germano album to be released next year. He played on "Into The Night" and "Paper Doll" from her last "Lullabies For Liquid Pig" album.
