Some Totally Random Moz Fan writes:
Well it was a great set played by Alain Whyte - including several Smiths' songs- and after the show backstage he told me that the NME actually misquoted him back in the day when it wrote that Alain said "I wasn't a big fan of the Smiths". What he ACTUALLY said was that he was a HUGE fan - and was blown away by "William It Was Really Nothing" on Top of the Pops and loved the Smiths- but wasn't a massive enough fan that had every single B-Side and everything else. So they left all that out and only kept the negative part.
Here are the pix I took:

My camera was 2 hours old - I just bought it tonight- so when I was backstage getting a picture with Alain I accidentaly had the "video" selected so here is the "accidental video" of us smiling waiting for the camera flash that never came (link to QuickTime movie, alternate link).
Alain is saying "Better hide the cig!" I am on the left, Alain middle (obviously), and "Sweet and Tender Hooligan" Jose Maldonado is on the right.---
