Another sign that not everyone over here has forgotten about Stretford's finest, with a respectable #40 placing in yet another VH1 UK tedius, overly mainstream, public poll. Really, with a poll containing Robbie Williams as #1, I expected Morrissey to not have even made the top 100 never mind top 40. The entire top 100 can be found at the VH1 UK website.

In yesterday`s Reforma Newspaper (one of Mexico`s most important papers) there was an article in which Marusa Reyes (Jaguares` Manager) announced the minitour they will be doing together in California. She said that it was an idea of Saul Hernandez (Jags leader) to invite an icon such as MOZ to do something together (they didnt say who will be opening) so they gave him "a phone call" in which he gladly accepted to do the three dates.

But, as the MOZ-Jaguares thing will be from the Revolucion Tour Jaguares will be doing all over the US, Mexico, Central and South America, it is expected Jaguares to be closing the gigs.

Also, there is said that more GUESTS will be performing, so it is expected that some other (Mainly Latin) artists will be part of the shows. You can check Jaguares official webpage where the concerts are announced, confirmed, and tickets on sale.

There will indeed be a Smiths boxed set coming soon on Rhino. I'd heard it was supposed to be out already. I can tell you it was in the works months ago. As far as the tour, it will indeed begin in Salt Lake and not a day sooner. "He has obligations that will keep him from rehearsing until the week before. Badly Drawn Boy selected "Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want" as the last song during his visit with KRCW (Los Angeles radio). Also selected a new Doves track in order to keep all the music Mancunian. He mentioned that he has not run into Morrissey and jokingly said "I am not sure if he'd like me". BDB has been staying in L.A. recording the last 9 months or so.

THE STONE ROSES' debut album has been voted the best album.
Their self-titled 1989 classic finished just ahead of Pink Floyd's ''Dark Side Of The Moon' in the Jubilee poll voted for by listeners of 6 Music, the BBC's new digital station. The poll aimed to define the best 50 albums of the last 50 years in and ran across the Jubilee Bank Holidays.

The Top Ten also saw two bows from Radiohead, with 'The Bends' (at Four) and 'OK Computer' (Five).
