'Not Another' Alt Rock Covers Soundtrack - Nov. 5. Among the cover songs from the 80's included is Muse's cover of "Please, Please, Please Let Me Get What I Want." Excerpt:
In assembling the soundtrack for the upcoming irreverent comedy "Not Another Teen Movie," executive producer and Maverick CEO Guy Oseary said "the main focus was to create a soundtrack that had a timeless appeal... comprised of some of the best songs of the '80's performed by some of the most cutting edge musicians of today."
"Not Another Teen Movie" opens in the US on Dec. 14.

I have mentioned before that I am cutting down on Johnny Marr mentions unless there is something directly related to Morrissey, but I am still receiving lots of submissions. Please direct Johnny Marr news to those sites focused on him and do not be offended if your item is not posted here. It is apparent that neither one wants to be continually associated with the other.

neil g writes: Hi there. Johnny Marr was interviewed in Friday (2nd November)'s 'Metro' (free paper in London + other British cities). Final question was:
Would you ever consider a reunion with Morrissey?
JM'At the moment, Last Ride sounds like the best song in the world to me, so why would I want to let someone else sing it?
Holy Name has typed out the full interview - Johnny Marr 60 Second Interview"

On November 19th, club Lipgloss will be having a special Smiths/Morrissey night. This will be the first Smiths/Morrissey tribute night ever in Denver, and we plan on making it special for everyone. The night will consist of excellent music such as B-sides, rarities, cover bands, as well as bands that have opened for the Smiths and Moz. Local artists will be also paying homage to Morrissey and The Smiths by showing special inspired art work as well. We also have a special request list of favorite Smiths/Morrissey (and personal favorite) songs sent to us by Boz Boorer. Movies and videos will be played all night as well. So I encourage all fans to stop by and pay tribute to the greatest band and man of all time!

For directions and song requests please visit the Lipgloss website.
